Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas (CRCC), is a trusted name in clinical research. Pharmaceutical firms, device makers, and biotech companies have engaged us in phase I-IV clinical trials as well as numerous development projects. Our site offers a personalized approach and a caring, safe, and professional environment for subjects and industry representatives. Our affiliated full-service dermatology, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetic dermatology practice provides access to thousands of potential subjects combined with a robust and constantly maintained database of persons interested in becoming a trial participant. We can recruit, retain, and support subjects throughout the trial process, helping bring drugs, devices, and products to patients safely and efficiently.
Under the direction of Dr. Todd Schlesinger, Director and Board Certified Dermatologist with over 24 years of trial and development experience, our team is dedicated to data integrity, compliance, and quality assurance. Trials are overseen and regulated by an institutional review board (IRB) as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or the National Institute of Health (NIH). Our coordinators and staff are committed to excellence in training, accuracy, and safety.
Our Investigator-initiated studies address questions that arise in the real-world setting of our dermatology practice. Often these involve approved treatments in combination therapy or off-label applications in an attempt to improve and expand their effectiveness. We have developed and executed IRB-approved protocols for global pharmaceutical companies, as well as limited-scope pilot studies for biotech start-ups.
